As a business we’ve always supplied quality linens to the larger commercial laundry operators and have built solid, long-term relationships across the industry. And recently, we identified the need for a more flexible product offering for laundry operators that supply independent catering businesses. We also knew that to service this sector most effectively, our products needed to be made available with shorter lead times to help them manage unexpected busy period of demand.
Robert Scott Linen is a new trade-only website aimed at smaller commercial laundry operators that need quick access to quality linens on an ad hoc basis with shorter turnaround times during busy peak periods.
The new website will offer a range of catering linens including glass and waiter’s cloths, kitchen and oven cloths, chef’s aprons and washroom cloths – a high quality absorbent hand towel ideal for use in bathroom or baby changing areas.
Alongside the range of high-quality, durable linens, the website will also offer a small range of laundry bags including Robert Scott’s innovative Small Garment Laundry Bag. This is an ideal laundry bag and is made from robust polyester, capable of holding around 10 to 12 garments, or napkins and kitchen linen, to reduce the dependence on single use plastic bags.
It features a protective top flap to keep garments secure and tidy and can be firmly secured.
The bag also features corner eyelets that can be easily attached to a twin trolley to allow quick and effective packing and movement of linens around premises.
Robert Scott Linen will be available to businesses operating in mainland UK and will offer same working day dispatch on all orders placed before 11am. There is no requirement for businesses to open an account – orders can be paid in full when placed.
